Work 22: Land of the Cat Killers

Land Of The Cat Killers

Heather burn patches under light snow cover. Dumfries-shire SW Scotland.

* On Scottish estates, where highly lucrative grouse-shooting takes place every August, cat-owning residents of local villages suffer from a greater than average loss of their beloved pets. The factors and gamekeepers keep tight-lipped about all illegal killings that protect the grouse population and their eggs – including  birds of prey that are also statistically thin on the ground in
areas controlled by the big landowners. –
